Rastaman

I hail from Birmingham
But Jamaica is my spiritual home.
I go there when I can
I am a rastaman.

I dance all night and sleep all day,
For a rasta it's the only way.
I can't help it. I just am what I am.
I am a rastaman.

I smoke the ganga. I'm as cool as the breeze.
I wear my dreadlocks with red, yellow and green.
I pray to Haille Salassie, Ethiopian.
I am a rastaman.

I love reggae. I love the beat.
I love the rhythm, love to tap my feet.
Shake my body and clap my hands.
I am a rastaman.

Bob Marley may be dead and gone,
But his memory will always live on.
I spend my whole life singing his songs
I am a rastaman.

I smoke the ganga. I'm as cool as the breeze.
I wear my dreadlocks with red, yellow and green.
I pray to Haille Salassie, Ethiopian.
I am a rastaman.

Everybody's equal, everybody's alright.
A rasta can be black brown yellow or white.
I don't judge a man by the colour of his skin.
I am a rastaman.

I love football. I ride my bike.
I dig peace man, I don't fight.
Don't need no reason to be who I am.
I am a rastaman.

I smoke the ganga. I'm as cool as the breeze.
I wear my dreadlocks with red, yellow and green.
I pray to Haille Salassie, Ethiopian.
I am a rastaman.
