Rainman

Carla, throws the ball to her baby boy
Like dolphins fed their young in the sea
And Johnny's off working in the East again.
It's the only way he knows to make enough money to eat.
With the job centre closed and the interest so high he was forced away
Either that or give up the only home he ever had.

And the sun's coming up with a glint in it's eye.
It's the master of all in the land and the sky
So let's hope it stays that way for the rest of our lives,
Be they long, rich and healthy, with no ties to bind.
But the thunder cloud's building. We're due for a storm.
The rainman is casting his spell o'er us all.
Nostradamus had the whole thing sussed out
When he warned us of the coming of the next anti-christ.

Johnny spent most of his life behind bars.
But now he's older and wiser, at least that's what he thought.
The sweat on his brow and the dirt 'neath his nails are the proof that he's changed.
For what it's worth.
Then he hears the door bang, but this time they've thrown away the keys
And Carla and the baby are left to fend for themselves

And the sun's coming up with a glint in it's eye.
It's the master of all in the land and the sky
So let's hope it stays that way for the rest of our lives,
Be they long, rich and healthy, with no ties to bind.
But the thunder cloud's building. We're due for a storm.
The rainman is casting his spell o'er us all.
Nostradamus had the whole thing sussed out
When he warned us of the coming of the next anti-christ.
