Different Point Of View

From the day time began Adam met Eve in the Garden of Eden.
They were shooting the breeze, just passing the time of day.
But there was nothing to do cos no-one had invented the TV. back then.
Adam thought that the timing was right to make some fun of his own.

He sidled across to the place where Eve was eating an apple
An' when he tugged on the fig leaf he had a surprise.
But the birds and the bees will tell you kissin' and cuddlin's not as simple as that.
As she covered her innocence, I swear I heard her let out a cry.

I never wanna hear your voice again.
I've got a different point of view.
I get more sense when I talk to myself.
I curse the day I first set eyes on you.

A few days later he was feeling kinda lonely so he called her up,
And he uttered a thousand apologies down the telephone line.
But to clear up the air she had to put his mind straight about a couple of things,
To make sure that when they met it didn't happen again.

Your a boy, I'm a girl. I don't mean to sound condescending
But one day soon everybody in the whole wide world will know
That girls grow into ladies whereas boys want to stay boys forever,
But Adam was smart enough to know when Eve was putting him on.

I never wanna hear your voice again.
I've got a different point of view.
I get more sense when I talk to myself.
I curse the day I first set eyes on you.

Well time passed by and nature finally took it's course.
The fig leaves were cast aside as they became as one.
Nine months later out came a healthy little baby girl.
And they were both oh so proud, even though deep down inside Adam wanted a son.

Splitting each of their names they called the new born Adiva
And before they could turn around she'd turned into a lady herself,
With her problems and differences, but now the rest is just history.
That when a boy and a girl stay together for too long this is what they say.

I never wanna hear your voice again.
I've got a different point of view.
I get more sense when I talk to myself.
I curse the day I first set eyes on you.
